Dental Hygienist.

$50–$75 per Hour | 60–90 Minute Appointments | 2–4 Days per Week.

Are you looking for a hygiene position where your clinical judgment is respected, periodontal health is taken seriously, and you have the time and technology to provide excellent care?

At Dental Nook, hygienists are respected as healthcare providers, educators, disease detectors, disease managers, and patient advocates—not simply “prophy machines.”

We are a locally owned Colorado Springs dental practice committed to providing honest, amazing dentistry. We treat every patient with the same patience, kindness, honesty, and respect we would want for our own families.

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing, periodontal-focused team at:

Dental Nook.
13492 Bass Pro Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Schedule:

Our office hours are:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Position available for 2–4 consistent days per week

Compensation:

Compensation is based on the hygiene schedule you work:

Single-column hygiene: $50 per hour.
Two-column hygiene: $75 per hour.

Two-column hygiene requires strong clinical efficiency, organization, communication, and the ability to maintain Dental Nook’s standards for patient care and documentation.

Benefits:

401(k) with employer match.
Sick leave.
Employee dentistry.
Consistent daytime schedule.
Advanced periodontal technology.
Clinical autonomy within clear, evidence-informed standards.
Collaborative doctors and team members.
Locally owned and operated—not a corporate dental office.

Why Hygienists Choose Dental Nook:

90-minute appointments for new patients and scaling and root planing.
60-minute appointments for periodontal maintenance and six-month recare.
Advanced technology, including the Picasso diode laser.
A periodontal program focused on identifying and actively managing disease.
The autonomy to educate patients and provide care you are proud of.
Clear clinical systems and shared standards that promote consistency.
Doctors who value strong clinical observations and direct patient handoffs.
A culture centered on learning, accountability, teamwork, and improvement.

The Dental Nook Way:

Our purpose is to improve lives through healthier mouths, confident smiles, better function, and long-term oral health. We educate patients honestly, listen without judgment, and help them understand the causes of disease—not simply what procedure they need next.

Our team strives to be:

Humble: Open to feedback, willing to learn, and respectful of others.
Hungry: Motivated to improve, help the team, and provide excellent care.
Smart: Emotionally aware, communicative, and thoughtful about how our actions affect patients and coworkers.
Our core values include patience, kindness, honesty, respect, selflessness, forgiveness, humility, and commitment. We believe a positive, enjoyable workplace and professional accountability should exist together.

What You’ll Do:

Provide comprehensive adult and pediatric preventive care.
Perform scaling and root planing and periodontal-maintenance therapy.
Use periodontal laser therapy when clinically indicated.
Administer local anesthetic for periodontal treatment and assist the doctor with anesthetic when needed.
Complete thorough periodontal charting, radiographs, risk assessments, and clinical documentation.
Identify changes in periodontal health and communicate findings clearly to patients and doctors.
Educate patients about periodontal disease, home care, risk factors, and appropriate recare intervals.
Help patients understand the “why” behind recommended care without pressure or judgment.
Provide clear, direct clinical handoffs that support continuity of care.
Follow sterilization, infection-control, and clinical-safety protocols.
Arrive prepared for morning huddles and contribute positively to team meetings.
Take personal responsibility for following through on patient and team needs.

What We’re Looking For:

Active Colorado dental hygiene license.
Current laser certification is required. Periodontal laser therapy is an essential part of the care we provide.
Authorization to administer local anesthetic.
Strong clinical and periodontal skills.
Excellent patient communication and education skills.
Dependability, punctuality, and consistent follow-through.
A team-first attitude—“that’s not my job” is not part of our culture.
Confidence working independently while following shared clinical standards.
A desire to learn, improve, and provide predictable, high-quality care.
Someone who brings positive energy while remaining accountable to patients and teammates.

If you want to practice in an office where periodontal care matters, your clinical skills are respected, and your contribution is valued, we would love to meet you.
